You will be the local strategic and operational leader of the Automation organization within Energy Industries Division located in Untersiggenthal, Switzerland. Reporting to Local Division Manager Energy Industries DACH,  your focus will be on implementing strategies for profitable growth and ensuring effective operational performance across all aspects of this Cluster Local Division.

Your responsibilities

Leading the execution of the regional and global division strategy and providing local input and insights. Prioritizing and implementing business plans for stabilizing, profitability and growth with a focus on Service and Digital. Contribute to the HUB results by proactive collaboration with the HUB team and the other Local Divisions to achieve our common targets.

Ensuring effective financial management and delivery against all targets* and ensuring the profit and loss margin of the Local Division is met. (*Major KPIs: Orders, Orders gross profit, revenue, OpEBITA, cash & NWC). In addition to that, living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means ensuring a safe working environment and supporting your team and the integrity of your business.

Evaluating market opportunities and identifying actions in collaboration with local sales and marketing team. Implementing operational excellence across all products/projects/services and processes to improve productivity, quality and cost optimization, focused on delivering as sold to as delivered margins, facilitating adoption and utilization of ABB Adaptive and OPC deployment.

Building a capable local team – inspiring and motivating employees to reach or even surpass targets as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers and ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction.

Your background

A degree (University or Fachhochschule in CH) in Engineering e.g., Automation & Control System, or Electrical

At least 8 years of experience in Automation or Electrical Solution business, in industries such as Water, Power Generation, Chemical & Refining

Experienced in leading teams of managers, directing an organization or department of >15 MUSD Revenues and >35 FTE, with profit and loss responsibility

Key focus on customer needs, results and quality, with proficient sales and marketing experience

Highly proficient, well-developed communication, influencing, coaching and leadership skills

You are comfortably extroverted, curious, and action-driven—your initiative and professionalism help you engage others and confidently share your vision

You easily connect with both customers and colleagues, precisely uncovering their needs and taking appropriate actions with conviction and clarity
