Key Responsibilities: + Process and correct loan files to meet 24-hour closing deadlines. + Review and update Cash to Close, DTI, and Seller Credits at closing. + Restructure loans based on last-minute changes and investor requirements. + Analyze borrower documentation including credit reports, bank statements, and income verification. + Apply Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines to ensure compliance. + Perform clean-up tasks on partially processed files; no single owner per file. + Add loan conditions and initiate chats with Branch Operations for resolution. + Work through a “get next” pipeline with up to 130 guideline reviews per day. + Ensure all changes and updates align with investor standards. Required Skills & Qualifications: + 3–5 years of loan processing experience in mortgage lending or credit unions. + Strong understanding of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines. + Experience with VA and FHA loans, including COEs and funding fees. + High attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
