ResponsibilitiesFollow livestock research protocols and SOPs to conduct successful research projectsPerform routine procedures, such as feeding, weighing, general husbandry and observation, animal health, and sample collectionCollection of a variety of samples and data  Maintain accurate and thorough recordsProactively communicate study and animal care developments to appropriate team membersFollow and promote facility safety guidelinesMaintain physical appearance and operation of facilitiesPerform general housekeeping duties, such as organizing, cleaning and power washing of animal roomsQualificationsAssociates or Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Animal Science preferred, but not required.3-5 years of livestock production (with emphasis on non-ruminant) or animal nutrition research.Good working knowledge of animal husbandry and related health/treatment procedures.Collaborative team playerHigh degree of attention to detailExhibits integrity and trustSolid organizational skillsEffective time managementExcellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as team working abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and the ability to operate farm equipment.Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
