Summary

We are working with a warm and welcoming family based in Hertfordshire who are looking for an experienced Live-In Nanny to support the care of two children — a gentle and verbal 6-year-old boy with autism and a newborn baby (9 weeks old).

The family is looking for someone confident, calm, and capable who can manage the different needs of both children with empathy and structure.

The role is based in a beautiful countryside Manor House, with excellent private accommodation provided (your own bedroom, lounge, kitchen, and bathroom on the top floor of the home). It’s a long-term, full-time live-in role for someone seeking a genuine connection with the family and a sense of belonging.

Job specification:

Sole charge of both children (experience managing similar age gap essential) Nursery duties: children’s laundry, wardrobe management, tidying toys etc. School runs (driver required), after-school activities (drums, SLT, swimming) Newborn care: bottles, naps, routines, stimulation Cook fresh, healthy meals for the children Family routines: including Friday Pizza Night at the pool Accompany family on outings, meals out, travel and holidays Occasional international travel Help maintain calm and consistent structure in the home Work closely with parents and other household staff Accommodation: Private bedroom, lounge, kitchen and bathroom on top floor of Manor house Candidate specification: SEN experience essential – particularly autism Experience with newborns SEN training or qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3 or similar) Confident driver – school is not walkable Must be able to swim Fluent English speaker Warm, grounded, and highly reliable Able to support both structure and warmth in equal measure Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate  Applying for this position: Please email your interest in this position to ETapps@edenprivatestaff.com Please ensure you include the reference number for the position you are applying for (found at the top of the advert).
