Job Summary:

A lovely, warm, and welcoming family based in Chelsea is seeking a professional, experienced, and reliable daily nanny to care for their two delightful daughters, aged 4 and 5½. The girls are sweet-natured, well-mannered, and have been raised with a French education and upbringing. This is a Monday to Friday role, with occasional babysitting duties, ideal for a confident nanny who can provide both a nurturing environment and a strong sense of routine.
The family is looking for a candidate who is proactive, structured, and enthusiastic about child development. The ideal nanny will adopt a firm but fair approach, setting clear boundaries while remaining kind and engaging. Mum and dad are very hands-on, and the right person will be someone who can seamlessly fit into a busy yet loving household, supporting the family’s values and helping the girls thrive both emotionally and developmentally.

Job specification:

Provide attentive, nurturing, and safe care for both children Plan, organise, and lead a variety of age-appropriate activities including educational games, arts & crafts, reading sessions, and outdoor play Support school routines, including school drop-offs, pick-ups, after-school clubs, and playdates Prepare nutritious, balanced meals and snacks Manage laundry, ironing and maintain tidy, organised bedrooms, play areas and general housekeeping during down time. ​​​​​​​ Actively encourage and support the children’s overall growth and development, fostering curiosity, confidence, and positive, well-mannered behaviour Establish and maintain consistent daily routines around mealtimes, homework, and bedtime Accompany the family on occasional travel, primarily to France during school holidays Provide reliable evening and overnight babysitting as needed when parents are out or travelling Maintain open and honest communication with parents, regularly updating them on the children’s wellbeing, development, and daily activities

Salary Breakdown: £45,000 – £60,000 Gross per annum

£45,000 – £55,000 g.p.a Live-in £50,000 – £60,000 g.p.a Live out

Candidate specification:

Minimum 3 years’ professional nanny experience within a private household Proven experience caring for two children of similar ages simultaneously Excellent references from previous families or employers Confident cook, able to prepare fresh, healthy, and balanced meals for children Warm, engaging, and proactive personality with genuine enthusiasm for child development Flexible and comfortable with occasional overnight stays French language skills a plus, but not essential Proactive, nurturing, and enthusiastic about supporting children’s growth and learning Active and hands-on, able to encourage development through play and structure Firm but fair approach to discipline, establishing routines, guidelines, and boundaries Confident and experienced navigating London using public transport, taxis, and ride services
