Job Summary:
A family is seeking a dedicated live-in Housekeeper for their private countryside estate. The home has 10 bedrooms across 3 floors and includes three young children, a small dog, and regular guests. Responsibilities include general housekeeping (cleaning, laundry, tidying), as well as cooking healthy, family-style meals.
A driver is preferred due to the rural location. Experience in larger homes or estates is valued, and prior work in a high-net-worth (HNW) household is desirable. The ideal candidate is flexible (especially for weekend cover), calm under pressure, and confident working independently, as they will ideally cover the days the other housekeeper is off.
This is a temp-to-perm role with the opportunity to join a kind, welcoming family in a beautiful setting.
General Duties:
Impeccable upkeep of all interiors to the highest standard Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management, including care for delicate fabrics Household organisation, stock management, and occasional errands Preparing family meals when required Flower arrangements Liaising with other household staff, estate team and contractors Assisting with basic care for the family’s spaniel Occasional support for events and guestsCandidate Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar HNW households Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Discreet, trustworthy, and able to work with minimal supervision Flexible, proactive, and service-oriented attitude Physically fit and capable of handling the demands of a large home. Ability to cook family meals and assist with entertaining when required Confident with high-end cleaning products and specialist techniques Must hold a valid UK driving licence and be able to commute daily if the candidate opts to live out.Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
