Job Summary:  

My client is a lovely family of 5 looking to hire a Live In Housekeeper to their beautiful property in North Devon. The family consists of two principles and their 3 children, aged 8 years old to 14 years old and their four dogs.

The role will consist of all basic housekeeping duties within this household, making sure the house is clean, daily cleaning of the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms, laundry work, pet care and occasional childcare and childminding. The house is four stories with a lot of stairs.

The family are offering a two-bedroom cottage on the Estate which is half a mile from the main house, it is in a courtyard occupied by another Estate worker and tenanted property but each individual/family has their own space such as a garden etc. They are happy for someone to bring their dependents, family members and any pets.

The candidate will need to be able to drive and be a very experienced candidate with housekeeping.

Job specification:

Completing all housekeeping duties for the family Making sure the home is kept clean and tidy Daily cleaning of kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms Cleaning with knowledge of products and usage, polishing, vacuuming, laundry, ironing, window cleaning, making beds Driving – shopping and occasional school runs plus after school clubs Occasional cooking for family when required Looking after pets from time to time and housesitting Occasional overnight childminding Experience of care and maintenance of fine art and antiques is preferable

Candidate specification:

3+ previous years experience in a private household Happy to work in a home with children and dogs Driver with a clean licence Excellent recommendations and references Discreet and confidential with a great eye for detail

DBS check required at offer stage
