Relocation and sponsorship costs are also not approved for this position. ***** *****The official title will be Paralegal I or II depending on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate***** **Job Summary/Purpose** Supports the Nuclear Legal dry fuel storage litigation team in gathering documents and evidence in support of Entergy’s claims; managing document productions; scheduling, reviewing and summarizing depositions; drafting of discovery and responses; preparation of form pleadings; organization of files; and preparation and distribution of filings., Assists in trial preparation and trial proceedings. **Job Duties/Responsibilities** + Manages, tracks, and works on discovery documents, including organization and preparation of discovery interrogatories, requests for production, and discovery responses. + Inputs, retrieves and manages documents in software programs such as Maximo and Sightline. Prepares documents for production using Sightline. Investigates and assembles facts and other data in support of Entergy’s claims. Analyzes and compiles data in form required by attorneys (e.g., charts, etc.). + Prepares and updates litigation hold documents. + Manages and prepares court-ordered documents, including initial disclosures, witness lists, exhibit lists, preliminary reports, status reports, scheduling orders, pre-trial orders, etc. + Organizes, indexes and files pleadings and other key case documents. Summarizes, where necessary, voluminous records. + Maintains attorneys’ back-up calendar and provides attorneys with advance notice of upcoming deadlines, meetings, etc. + Proofreads and edits documents. + Schedules witness interviews and depositions; summarizes depositions; conducts interviews when necessary. + Performs other necessary research and cite-checking on Internet, etc.. Becomes knowledgeable about issues in, and contents of, all litigation and other files assigned. + Assists in retaining, communicating with and obtaining relevant information from or for experts and outside counsel. **Minimum Requirements** **Minimum education required of the position** Paralegal degree/certificate and/or bachelor's degree. **Minimum experience required of the position** + Paralegal I: 0-5 years of work experience + Paralegal II: 5 years of work experience + Prior litigation experience is strongly preferred; litigation experience with a law firm is also preferred **Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position** + Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint + Proficiency or ability to become proficient in Maximo and Sightline + Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner. + Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadlines/pressure. + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task and work productively as a member of multi-disciplinary team. + Perform document/record searches in Company file/databases. + Team player with a willingness to perform job responsibilities at all levels in order to meet team goals and court deadlines. + Ability to work over-time and to attend out of town proceedings from time to time. **Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position** Paralegal degree/certificate. \#LI-TR1 \#LI-HYBRID **Primary Location:** Mississippi-Jackson Mississippi : Jackson || Arkansas : Little Rock || Louisiana : New Orleans **Job Function** : Professional **FLSA Status** : Nonexempt **Relocation Option:** No Relocation Offered **Union description/code** : NON BARGAINING UNIT **Number of Openings** : 1 **Req ID:** 120383 **Travel Percentage** :Up to 25% An Equal Opportunity Employer, Minority/Female/Disability/Vets.
