LIS Systems Analyst II (Roche/ Navify - LGI-Flag Integration Technical Experience ) **Galveston, Texas, United States** Clinical Laboratory UTMB Health Requisition # 2502576 **_JOB SUMMARY:_** To provide intermediate analysis and documentation of existing hospital and administrative procedures and recommend alternative procedures for improvement of work flow, either manual or automated, maximizing productivity and controlling costs. **_This position supports the Laboratory Information System/Artificial Intelligence and Informatics Division of the Laboratory Services Department._** **_REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:_** Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and three years related experience. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Lead the integration of Roche/ Navify Algorithm Suite with LIS, ensuring accurate and timely clinical data transmission. + Manage LGI-Flag Integration, including mapping, validation, and rule configuration to support decision algorithms and flag logic. + Collaborate with Roche technical teams and internal stakeholders to optimize algorithm performance and resolve interface issues. + Develop and maintain documentation for integration workflows, system configurations, and change management. + Troubleshoot and support production issues related to Roche/Navify data pipelines and flagging inconsistencies. + Focus exclusively on implementation, support, and optimization of Roche’s Navify Algorithm Suite and the LGI-Flag algorithm within the Laboratory Information System. + Own the full technical deployment and ongoing upgrade cycle of the cloud-based Navify Algorithm Suite in the LIS environment, ensuring secure connectivity, role-based access, and version control. **_MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:_** + Plans the study of current departmental systems. + Gathers and organizes information on system including present operating procedures. + Analyzes data and considers all available solutions, either manual or automated. + Organizes and documents study and prepares recommendations for implementation of new systems. + Conducts operational effectiveness reviews. + Conducts preliminary survey of vendor solutions. + Adheres to internal controls established for department. + Performs related duties as required. **_ADDITIONAL DUTIES:_** + Design, build, and maintain real-time HL7/FHIR interfaces that feed CBC and demographic data from the LIS to LGI-Flag and return risk scores/flags to clinician worklists. + Configure and validate data-mapping rules (e.g., Hgb, RBC indices, age, sex) required by LGI-Flag; implement QC checkpoints to guarantee data integrity before algorithm execution. + Execute and document IQ/OQ/PQ testing of LGI-Flag outputs, supplying evidence for CLIA, CAP and FDA SaMD compliance audits. + Monitor daily algorithm runs, investigate interface exceptions, and fine-tune threshold parameters to balance sensitivity and specificity for disorder detection. + Develop user dashboards and training materials that explain LGI-Flag scoring tiers, clinical actionability, and workflow impact for laboratory and gastroenterology teams. + Track performance metrics (PPV, NPV, flag rates) post-go-live and propose algorithm or workflow adjustments to drive continuous improvement. **_EQUIPMENT:_** Standard office equipment. **_WORK SCHEDULE:_** Monday through Friday, occasional weekends and holidays as needed. **Equal Employment Opportunity** UTMB Health strives to provide equal opportunity employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, genetic information, disability, veteran status, or any other basis protected by institutional policy or by federal, state or local laws unless such distinction is required by law.
