Join our team as a Liquid Mud Plant Operator, where you'll play a critical role in supporting drilling operations by managing the preparation, handling, and transfer of drilling fluids. Based at our state-of-the-art facility, you’ll ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of mud mixing systems, bulk storage, and fluid transfer equipment. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence in a fast-paced oil and gas environment.
 

As a Liquid Mud Plant Operator, you will:

Under supervision follow mix lists for the mixing, blending, and building of drilling and completion fluids – water based, oil based, and brine completion fluid systems.

Under instruction and direction loadout and receive drilling and completion fluids to and from the field. Load and back load dry bulk products – varying grades of barites and cement.

Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10kg, frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25kg

Operating a forklift while loading or unloading freight

Working within QHSE guidelines as set out by Baker Hughes.

Mixing and blending of drilling fluids.

Completing paperwork associated to tasks.


Fuel your passion
 

To be successful in this role you will:

Have high school diploma or equivalent with prior experience in a similar role.

Have a current FLT licence up to 10 Ton (T4)

Be at the carry out manual handling of items of not more than 25kg.

Have a full Driving Licence.

Be able to speak fluent Norwegian and English.

Be a flexible team player able to work shifts and willing to embrace proactively with Baker Hughes HSE culture.

Demonstrate knowledge of basic chemical blending processes.

Demonstrate initiative in increasing knowledge of products, processes and equipment.

Computer skills considered advantageous
