Responsible for maintaining Linux/Unix systems, supporting EDA/CAD engineering tools, and ensuring infrastructure reliability for high-performance design environments.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
6–8+ years of experience in Linux administration within engineering environments
Proficiency in shell scripting, Python, Java, and C++
Experience with Cadence tools for PCB and silicon design
Knowledge of SUSE Linux preferred
Strong understanding of Windows/Unix systems
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Altium, Synopsys, or Siemens EDA tools
Familiarity with system security best practices and network optimization
Experience managing virtual machine migrations and cloud-based infrastructure
Background in system documentation and user training
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain and optimize Linux/Unix systems supporting engineering toolchains
Manage software license updates, monitoring, and renewals
Coordinate VM migrations, system backups, and cloud transitions
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues across engineering systems
Improve network performance, remote desktop access, and overall system security
Collaborate with engineering teams, IT staff, and external vendors for timely issue resolution
Document processes and train users on systems and tools as needed
Pay Details: $110,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year
