Linux/BSP Software Application Engineer for Compute

General Summary:

Join Qualcomm as a Linux / BSP Engineer for compute platform and contribute to support the development and maintenance of Qualcomm’s embedded Linux platforms. Your focus will be on enhancing system reliability, ensuring kernel stability, and debugging across various subsystems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve stability issues in kernel, drivers, and user-space applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with internal teams to triage and resolve stability issues in Android/Linux environments.

Support integration and validation of BSPs (Board Support Packages) on customer computing platforms.

Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for log analysis.

Document stability issues and resolutions to support internal knowledge sharing.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer

Science, or related field.

Basic understanding of Linux systems.

Quick learner with adaptability to new technologies.

Comfortable in English communication(spoken and written).

Strong sense of ownership and accountability in issue resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:

1–3 years of experience in embedded Linux or Android development.

2+ years of experience with programming language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

1+ year of experience with debugging and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with Linux kernel internals, bootloader, and device trees.

Basic understanding of debugging tools such as gdb, T32, or custom parsers.

Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash).

Exposure to Android, Yocto or similar build frameworks is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
