Job Overview:

The Linen Service Worker collects soiled laundry, sorts, weighs, and dries according to established policies, procedures and instructions for machine operation.

Qualifications:

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent3-12 months’ general laundry experience

Scheduling Requirements:

7:00am-3:30pmRotating weekends and holidaysPer Diem

Essential Functions:

Answer telephones and take messages appropriatelyAssembles and places linen on exchange carts for delivery to nursing units according to pre- established scheduled and par levelsCollect soiled linen from designated collection areas throughout the facility within the established time framesDeliver all clean linen exchange carts to the proper areas within the established time framesMaintain daily log/tracking formsMaintain the department and soiled utility rooms in a clean and safe environmentStock all clean linen on exchange cart
