General Purpose: Prepare, season, and cook a wide range of foods, which may include soups, salads, entrees, and desserts.
Job Duties and Responsibilities: � Follow recipes, controls, portion, and presentation specifications set by The Creamery � Ensure the freshness of food and ingredients � Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes � Bake, grill, or fry meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods � Boil and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods � Arrange, garnish, and sometimes serve food � Clean work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes � Cook, handle, and store food or ingredients � Follow all safety and sanitation procedures when handling food and working with kitchen equipment � The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required.
**Requirements**
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Previous Kitchen experience is preferred
Certificate and/or license- Food Handers certificate(may be obtained within 30 days of employment)
Knowledge, SKills and Abilities
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Must be able to work well in a team environment
Ability to work safe and follow established policies and procedures
Must be able to count money and work a cash register
Must be able to read, write and speak English
