**Job Title: Light Industrial Assembler**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Light Industrial Assembler to join our team. The role involves assembling stairs by matching parts to stringers, inserting treads and risers, and securing components using various tools and techniques. Quality control is essential to ensure all parts are properly seated and secured. Additional duties include cutting and installing scotia, wrapping stairs, and staging them for the loading department. Candidates will be cross-trained in various sub-departments and must be able to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs. This description may not be all-inclusive, as additional tasks may be assigned.
**Responsibilities**
+ Match appropriate parts to the stringers.
+ Assemble stairs by inserting tread and risers into the stringer, clamping, gluing, and hammering in wedges.
+ Glue and staple in the v-block, nail/screw the riser into the back of the tread.
+ Remove stair from assembly table and move it to the punch-out table.
+ Conduct quality control checks for nail and screw blow-outs.
+ Ensure all components are properly seated and secured.
+ Cut and install scotia, wrap stairs as needed.
+ Stage stairs on skids for the loading department.
+ Perform additional tasks as needed, including lifting up to 75 lbs.

**Work Environment**
Work hours are Monday-Thursday from 6:00am to 3:30pm and Friday from 6:00am to 10:00am. The shop maintains a clean environment, with cleaning required before and after shifts. The company is employee-friendly and family-oriented, valuing loyalty, reliability, and quality craftsmanship.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CHAMBERSBURG, Pennsylvania.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
