Job Title: Approval Person for Lifting Operations (APLO)
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline.
• 10 years’ experience in lifting and handling operations in supervisory capacity.
• Thorough knowledge of international standards, e.g.: UKOOA, BS, LOLER, NORSOK etc.
• Shall possess valid OPITO BOSEIT & H2S training certificate.
• Shall possess valid OPITO LOLER Competent Person (LCP) training.
Experience:
• Has a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Oil and Gas Upstream Industry.
• Has held positions requiring high level of commitment to the safety and welfare of the workforce.
• Knowledge of French oil and gas Operator Lifting Referential is a prerequisite.
• Thorough knowledge of all types of cranes, forklift and lifting operations (limiting devices and safety features).
• Demonstrates Leadership and Organisational skills in a multicultural environment.
• Several creations/writing of Lifting Management System documents, procedures, instructions.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Words, PowerPoint, etc.). AutoCAD is a plus.
• Advanced written and spoken English. This is a FIFO Role 35x35 rotational

Implements Company Rules and Lifting Management System (LMS) Coordinates Site Lifting Superintendents (SLS) Participates in permit-to-work and lifting plans Reviews engineering calculations and approves complex lifts Checks lifting appliances and CCUs Liaises with affiliate entities and HQ (LSO, One Tech) Proposes nominations for L2 and L1 lifting rolesMethods:
Assesses lifting organization and proposes improvements Updates procedures and ensures compliance Conducts audits and reviews lift plans Evaluates cost-effectiveness of equipment selectionReporting:
Prepares weekly/monthly APLO reports and ad-hoc reports Reports incidents and HIPOs to HQ Lifting AuthorityExpertise:
Acts as technical authority for lifting and handling Assesses site conditions, personnel competence, and equipment Performs fit-for-purpose checks before mobilization Supports Drilling, Projects, Logistics, and other departmentsPersonnel:
Develops team knowledge in lifting operations Issues logbooks for trainees and evaluates progress Proposes training and mentors site personnel Context & Environment Strategic importance for Operator’ LNG business Operates in a sensitive and challenging environment High community, biodiversity, and environmental challenges Accountabilities Target zero incidents in lifting and handling Ensures compliance with statutory and DGEP rules Maintains and develops LMS Coordinates HSE initiatives Ensures lifting workforce is adequate for operational risks Accountable for H&S performance across sites Required Qualifications & ExperienceQualifications:
