The School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks applicants to teach one-credit academic courses in the Lifetime Physical Activity (LPA) program in the Department of Kinesiology for the Fall 2025 semester. Sports and activities (likely) in need of instructors include, but are not limited to:
Boxing for FitnessTennisSoccerVolleyballBadmintonWeight TrainingWomen's Fitness (weight training)Cross Training & ConditioningYogaCourses are primarily scheduled during the day in alignment with UVA’s academic schedule. These are not group fitness classes, but academic courses aimed at providing undergraduate students a progression of knowledge and skills to be life-long movers.
Preference will be given to full-time enrolled UVA graduate and doctoral students, but we welcome anyone who is qualified to apply. Valid CPR/First Aid certification is strongly preferred; some classes will require the Instructor to be certified in the physical activity discipline.
