Lifeguards 2025-2026 JobID: 3382 + Position Type: Aquatics/ Lifeguard + Date Posted: 6/1/2025 + Location: Aquatic Center + Closing Date: 05/31/2026 WEBSTER CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT Open Position Position: Lifeguards 2025-2026 - Various hours/shifts (Posting Number 2526-3382) Location: Aquatic Center Start Date: Varies Requirements: + Lifeguards must be 16 years of age. + Current lifeguard certification, first aid, professional CPR/AED certification are required. + Thorough knowledge of application of lifeguarding, surveillance and rescue techniques. + An understanding of facility characteristics, rules, policies and procedures. + Leadership, public relations and decision-making skills are essential. + Pre-employment testing of life-guarding skills and knowledge are required. Other responsibilities include: + Recognize and respond effectively in emergencies. + Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations + Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the head lifeguard/supervisor + Complete records and reports + Participate in regular in-service training sessions + Exercise regularly to maintain fitness level (strength and endurance) + Work in conjunction with head lifeguard to accomplish facility set up and alterations (I.e. movement of pool lanes and bulkhead) + Initiate the emergency response plan and call EMS (911) if necessary + Complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or director Salary: Based on experience and level of responsibility.
