Duties and responsibilities

Report to duty and leave on time. Ensure guests are aware of all services and activities available at the pool. Check the chemical levels in swimming pools and steam rooms and ensure it's at the required level and standard prior to guests using the pool. Regularly check the temperature of the pool to ensure it is at the set standard. Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service. Provide a high level of guest satisfaction and safety through effective communication. Welcome the guest and assist them with pool towels, escort them to the sun lounge. Brief every guest using the pool on rules and regulations and ensure guests follow them. Ensure the swimming pool surrounding area is clean and well presented. Constantly monitor swimming activities for all guests at the pool area and ensure they are safe. Ensure the sun loungers are clean, umbrellas are in working shape, in the correct position, and in proper working condition. Ensure that the umbrellas are fixed properly to their units and when not in use, they are tidied down for safety precautions. Place extra attention on children, elderly, and disabled guests to ensure they are safe. Use appropriate rescue techniques if observing swimmers in need of assistance. Observe the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual or unsafe activities, and swimmers who are struggling. Caution swimmers about unsafe areas. Rescue swimmers in danger of drowning and administer first aid. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager; attend and complete safety training and certifications as required by management. Always follow company policies and procedures; maintain proper grooming and personal appearance. Monitor pool from lifeguard chair. Do not leave pools unattended. Assist risk and security team to cover unattended shifts. Assist in setting up and running any special events. Put up umbrellas in the morning and put them down at night. Collect towels at the pool, place them in the laundry, and coordinate delivery of towels to laundry. Report any defects or breakages to supervisor. Assist and cooperate with other hotel departments, managers, and staff. Treat all guests and staff in a polite and friendly manner. Perform any other duties deemed appropriate by managers. Make yourself familiar with all company rules, regulations, and emergency procedures. Attend training courses as directed. Any changes to the duty rota must be given seven clear days in advance. Portray the hotel and company in a positive manner. Be fully responsible for the health club facilities in the hotel (pool area, steam room, gym). About the Company
