Location: Laveen, AZ
Schedule: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
Duration: ASAP – End of the 2025–2026 School Year
Pay Rate: $45 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Life Skills Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality instructional services to students requiring Life Skills support. This role serves students in grades K–12, with the specific grade level determined upon placement. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher will support individualized programming, specialized instruction, and collaborative planning with general education staff to ensure student growth and success.
Responsibilities
+ Deliver specialized instruction tailored to Life Skills students.
+ Participate in development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs.
+ Collaborate with general education teachers to provide consultation and support.
+ Maintain compliance with federal, state, and professional standards.
+ Track, document, and report student progress.
+ Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Caseload
+ Life Skills Program
+ Grade level: TBD
+ Assigned campuses fall within a 15–20 minute radius of the central administrative area.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred).
+ Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and contract guidelines.
+ Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred).
+ Preferred certifications:
+ Standard Elementary Teaching
+ Standard Secondary Teaching
+ Standard Special Education Teaching
+ Preferred endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1)
+ Compliance with all relevant standards of professional practice.
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as required).
+ Current health certificate (if required).
+ Must meet federal, state, and local requirements.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
