Life Safety Systems Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Life Safety Systems Engineer to provide code-compliant asset protection and fire life safety mitigation solutions for various projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with ability to attain PE licensure At least 4 years of AutoCAD design experience Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code Knowledge and application of NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 400 Hazardous Materials Code Professional Engineering (PE) license

Preferred Skills:

Design experience with Fire Alarm, VESDA systems, security CCTV, HPM, and Leak Detection Experience estimating and scheduling mid-to-large-scale projects Experience leading projects and managing resources Experience mentoring junior staff Design experience in semiconductor or data centers Working knowledge of Revit MEP for creating BIM models

Responsibilities:

Provide guidance to coworkers and collaborate with senior design professionals on project ownership as engineer of record Interface directly with client counterparts in facility design and state/local code officials Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create coordinated BIM models for fire sprinkler systems, alarm systems, smoke/leak detection, security/intrusion detection systems Provide calculations; equipment specifications; network diagrams; construction deliverables in both 2D/3D platforms for constructible designs

Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
