Life Guard / Recreation Expert

The Lifeguard is a support position to the Recreation Department. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, clean pool and beach environment. This person must be customer service oriented and be able to provide hotel information as well as assist with recreation rental equipment. The Lifeguard must be able to work in high temperatures outdoors and maintain focus while supervising pool guests for safety.

General ResponsibilityCommunicate in a friendly, tactful and professional manner with guests, suppliers as well as colleagues.Provide information regarding the hotel’s facilities services.Be informed and keep your supervisor informed of all matters that may affect your work, the hotel’s service or reputation.Always present a clean and tidy appearance in accordance with the hotel’s grooming standards.Be flexible and open to change in your job responsibilities, work area and/or roster to meet business needs.Be understanding, supportive, encouraging and helpful to guests as well as suppliers and your colleagues.Care about your environment and make sure it is tidy and well maintained.Be reliable and ensure you are at work on time.Ensure all area in the hotel are safe and secure Report any irregularity found in the ResortEnsure Colleagues adhere to hotel rules and regulation all the time. Ensure collagues accomodation safe and securePerform the job and tasks been assgined by your managerKnow your role in case of emergency such as bomb threat, flood, fire etc.Understand the Employee Handbook and comply with the standards it outlines.Carry out all professionally reasonable instruction given by your supervisor.Report all incidents, accidents and guest complaints in briefingsTechnical Expertise

1. Cleaning the Pool.

2. Adjust the Signage.

3. Check the arrangements of Sun beds, mattresses and side tables.

4. Check the Dustbins

5. Open the Umbrellas.

6. Checking and noting Pool, sea and Ambient temperature.

7. Ensuring there are no people inside the pool.

8. Arranging the sun beds, mattresses and side tables.

9. Cleaning the ash trays.

10. Emptying the garbage bins.

11. Place the Signboards.

15. Emergency Action Plan

16. Activate the EAP (Emergency Action Plan)

17. EMS (Emergency Medical Service).
