Licensing and Operations Manager

The LCMC Licensing Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining and/or filing LDH, OSFM, OPH and/or CMS required licensing documentation on behalf of the hospitals within LCMC Health. This position will work collaboratively with internal/external stakeholders to communicate current and relevant information and requirements. The Licensing Manager executes the strategy set forth by the LCMC VP, Operations and Research Infrastructure to ensure that the System hospitals comply with all applicable licensing regulations and implements processes and systems to ensure that all necessary licensing, filings and permits are processed and monitored.  This position will anticipate any new or changing regulations and coordinates with stakeholders to develop strategies to address.

Develop and implement licensing strategies to ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.Manage the hospital's licensing processes, including applications, renewals, and audits.Collaborate with hospital leadership and departments to ensure regulatory compliance across all operations.Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to regulatory authorities.Manage relationships with regulatory officials and other key partners.Prepare and present reports on licensing activities and performance to senior management.Develop and maintain system for tracking and reporting research activities taking place at LCMC HospitalsTakes initiative to improve both process and outcomes by creating a standard work process for licensure, including checklists for local inspections; educates and orients local leaders to standard work process and ensure that the process are implemented without fail;Develop and periodically review and update standard operating procedures, inclusive of checklists and forms to obtain relevant information and implementation of processes to remain compliant with regulatory agencies as it relates to licensure.Accurately compiles necessary data including but not limited to listing of all hospital beds, locations, PBB status and POS codes to ensure best possible revenue and compliance;Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep senior management informed of the operation and progress of the projects;Work closely with Patient Safety and Quality and Physician Services to ensure conformity with regulatory standards at provider based locations;Manage the day-to-day operations of LCMC System Hospital licensing & permitting activities specifically as it relates to application development, review & approval workflow and license/permit issuance;Review and ensure conformity and compliance to LDH, OSFM, OPH and CMS standards and ordinances whereby all necessary information is provided on and/or with the application;Monitor, manage, and track licensure renewals of existing facility licenses;Manage hospital licensure related to construction projects ensuring that the timelines are met and regulatory compliance is achieved and bed counts are accurate and up to date.

Your must haves

Minimum 5 years in healthcareHealthcare licensing/accreditation strongly preferred

Education Qualifications

Bachelor’s degreePreferred: Master’s Degree

Licenses and Certifications

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Green Belt preferred but not required

Skills and Abilities

Strong analytical, written, communication, interpersonal and listening skills. Strong project management and negotiation skills.  Ability to read and understand regulations and accreditation standards.Ability to work with varying levels of leadership.Ability to utilize data to develop dashboards.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Project management tools (SmartSheet, Trello, etc.).
