Salary: $33 / Hour Position Title: School Nurse / 1:1 CareOverview: The School Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care and health services to students and/or clients within a school setting. This role involves applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in accordance with physician orders and the standards set by Amergis Healthcare Staffing. The School Nurse may also serve in a supervisory capacity, overseeing contracted healthcare services as needed.Key Responsibilities:Provide direct nursing care and health education to students and staff.Monitor and manage chronic health conditions and acute illnesses or injuries.Collaborate with school personnel, families, and healthcare providers to support student well-being.Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.Ensure services are delivered in alignment with Amergis Healthcare Staffing’s philosophy, policies, and procedures.Supervise and support other healthcare personnel as required by the contract. Minimum Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Licensed Vocational Nurse).Current and valid nursing license in the state(s) of practice.Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience (preferred).Current CPR certification.Negative PPD test or chest X-ray, as applicable.Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulations).Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.Must be at least 18 years of age.
