Salisbury Surgical Associates is looking for a patient-focused, reliable, dedicated, driven, hard-working team member who possesses exceptional communication, organizational and follow-through skills with a strong desire to learn new processes and workflows!
The Licensed Practical Nurse serves as a member of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with other team members to provide care that promotes optimal health. The Licensed Practical Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the care of the patient during their health journey. The Licensed Practical Nurse accepts accountability for provision of care, as part of the RN led team, in accordance with the current policies and procedures.
What You'll Do
+ Collect patient data through observation, conversation, and basic measurements.
+ Recognize changes in patient condition and identify when immediate nursing intervention is needed.
+ Build positive working relationships with team members and internal partners.
+ Adapt to the needs of the team, accept feedback, resolve conflicts appropriately, and take responsibility for actions.
+ Contribute to determining patient care needs under RN direction.
Practice in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Ethics, and professional standards.
+ Partner with patients and their support systems to understand care goals and preferences.
+ Participate in the care team’s planning of individualized treatment plans.
+ Identify available resources and appropriate nursing interventions
+ Provide patient teaching and support as delegated by the RN or provider.
+ Assist in implementing the care plan alongside the interdisciplinary team.
+ Prioritize tasks based on patient needs and acuity.
+ Administer medications, perform routine nursing procedures (e.g., IV starts, dressing changes), and assist with patient transfers and transport.
+ Respond effectively in urgent situations, including performing CPR.
What We're Looking For
+ Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing Program, required.
+ Experience : One year of relevant experience, preferred.
+ Licensure/Certification: Appropriate state LPN license, required.
+ Additional Skills (required): Computer skills, Phone call etiquette, Organizational Skills.
