Schedule: Full Time

Shift : 7am-7pm with every other weekend rotation.

Location: Based in Altamonte Springs with floating to Orlando and Kissimmee.

The role you'll contribute:

The IPU LPN is responsible for identifying patient/family/caregiver needs and providing skilled nursing and supportive care to patients in residence at the Hospice of the Comforter Inpatient Unit in accordance with the plan of care, and policies and procedures.

The value you'll bring to the team:

Provides patient care in a home like setting in the IPU. (70%)

Provides skilled nursing care to an assigned group of patients in the Inpatient Unit and applies palliative nursing principles and techniques in the treatment of patients.

Ensures that patient is as comfortable as possible and provides nursing care, emotional support and education to the patient/family/caregiver.

Assesses patient condition and reports change to RN. Administers medications to patients within the patient care plan and physicians plan of treatment in compliances with the Florida Nurses Practices Act.

Answers patients call bell in a timely manner.

Orders medications for assigned patients.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

Associate's of Nursing

3 years nursing experience in a Hospital, Inpatient Unit or nursing facility environment

LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure A clear/active Florida License

Active American Heart Association BLS

Preferred qualifications:
