Licensed Practical Nurse LPN - Michigan Ear Institute - Farmington Hills, MI

Full Time - 4 - 10 hour days/week - no weekends/holidays

Responsibilities Include: This position is working as a phone triage nurse at our Farmington Hills office. Renewing scrips, post-op calls, diagnostic testing authorizations, FMLA/Disability paperwork, etc. Occasional filling in patient care when needed and the clinic is open various Saturdays so opportunity to work patient care.

Candidate Preferences: Candidate should have 1-2 years of patient care experience as a licensed practical nurse. Must have excellent phone, customer service, multitasking, and time management skills. Ambulatory/Clinic experience a plus.

ENT / Ear care experience a plus.

Provides care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within scope of license. Responsibilities: Contributes to the assessment of patients and assures the well-being of patients.| Administers medications and observes patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.| Performs laboratory tests and therapeutic services.| Educates patients/families about disease treatment plan including self care post discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow up care.

CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED · BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. · Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED · High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. - Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
