Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehab team. This position plays a vital role in supporting residents on their path to improved mobility and quality of life.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Must have passed or be eligible to take the NPTE exam

Must hold or be eligible to apply for a valid state license to practice as a PTA

Key Responsibilities:

Assess residents' physical therapy needs and match them with appropriate services

Provide direct care according to the treatment schedule, and document progress accurately

Communicate resident progress with the interdisciplinary team and family members

Reassess residents regularly to monitor and document progress

Stay current with professional best practices by attending training, seminars, and reviewing literature

Required Skills & Abilities:

Adequate hearing to assess therapy needs effectively

Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with residents, families, and staff

Ability to work collaboratively and compassionately in a skilled nursing environment
