Located in Lancaster County, the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD) is the regional center of excellence serving patients and families in Central Pennsylvania. We have a multidisciplinary team (from the fields of psychiatry, nursing, psychology, applied behavior analysis, social work, and counseling) with recognized expertise in the treatment of the social, emotional, and behavioral issues affecting individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Disability (ID). We offer center-based services, which include diagnostic evaluations, short-term consultation and ongoing treatment as well as community-based ABA services for adults.
Who we serve...
While CADD clients and families are all impacted by a developmental disability, we often support them with a variety of other concerns. These include but are not limited to: anxiety, ADHD, depression, OCD, social skills, interpersonal relationships, and family and caregiver support.
General Summary
Provides individual, group and/or family therapy. Provides preadmission screening to determine appropriateness for admission. Interviews patients and/or families to obtain psycho-social histories. Collaborates with the treatment team to develop a treatment plan and coordinates discharge planning.
What we do...
CADD Outpatient therapists/counselors are responsible for providing clinic-based treatment to individuals of all ages with a developmental disability. Treatment includes a variety of individual, family, parent, sibling and group therapy all with a focus on improving the lives of those we serve. Clinicians are trained to employ a variety of treatment modalities including behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and family systems approaches.

Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population. Assesses and interprets patient age specific data and provides appropriate, age specific treatment. Provides direct patient care to assigned patient age group(s).Demonstrates a commitment to patient, visitor and staff by: complying with all applicable safety regulations; learning the impact of medical errors and methodology that will lead to reduction of errors; reporting actual and potential errors, as well as hazardous conditions; identifying opportunities to standardize processes and "error proof" systems that will lead to increased safety; and participating in safety education programs and root cause analyses as required.Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
