in coordination with Emergency Department interdisciplinary teams to organize prepare and deliver evidence based clinical services across the continuum of care Maintains ethical principles and professional standards of practice in adherence to the disciplinersquos professional code of ethics Clinician provides comprehensive psychiatric assessments within the Emergency Department making recommendations and assisting in the coordination of care for patients presenting with behavioral health and substance abuse needs while working collaboratively with the emergency department Responds to crisis callsKey responsibilities of Crisis ClinicianDirect patient careConducts emergency psychiatric assessments Interprets the psychiatric and psychosocial needs of the patients and gathers collateral information to determine appropriate dispositionConducts advocacy referral and discharge planning to meet patientfamily needs Works with patientsrsquo community behavioral health and medical providers to assure coordination of clinical careFacilitates treatment process by referring patientfamily members to appropriate level of care and other resources as well as providing direct crisis intervention servicesCoordinates care and dispositions of psychiatric patients with Emergency Department staff while working effectively as a team member both within and across clinical setting to provide an integrated delivery of health care services through communication cooperation and collaborationDocuments assessments and all case management activities related to patientsWork whereevery preferably in an emergency departmentcrisis role four years preferredBi lingual Spanish language skills preferredComputer proficientExcellent communication skills with the ability to establish relationships within and outside their entityIs cognizant of health related social needs and cultural competence Recognizes and addresses health disparities inequalities and injustices directed toward
