Licensed Counselor
**Responsibilities** + Conduct clinical intake assessments using ASAM criteria to determine the appropriate level of care + Develop individualized, strengths-based treatment plans in collaboration with clients + Provide weekly individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches including CRA, CBT, and MI + Facilitate specialized group sessions including parenting education, relapse prevention, and recovery-focused support + Encourage 12-Step recovery participation and facilitate or refer to Al-Anon-informed groups + Maintain clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries) in compliance with Medicaid, NMAC, and regulatory standards + Coordinate care with case managers, peer support specialists, and external community providers \#LI-CHI **Qualifications** + **Education:** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related behavioral health field **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in substance use, co-occurring disorders, or behavioral health treatment **Licensure:** LADAC or LSAA requiredLPCC, LMSW, LMHC, or LISW in good standing with the New Mexico licensing board **Knowledge & Skills:** + Strong understanding of ASAM criteria and Medicaid documentation standards + Proficient in clinical assessment, group facilitation, and trauma-informed care + Collaborative and client-focused communication **Preferred** + Bilingual (English/Spanish); familiarity with parenting models and recovery-oriented frameworks **Overview** St. Joseph’s Recovery, a division of CommonSpirit Health, is launching a groundbreaking Adult Recovery Program designed to provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and family-centered care. Licensed Counselors at St. Joseph’s Recovery provide evidence-based individual and group counseling services to adults in our trauma-informed intensive outpatient program (IOP).
