Licensed Clinical Social Worker - PRN - Austin, TX!

 

Who we are looking for: 

Must be a  "Licensed Clinical Social Worker" (LCSW) to provide specialized mental health counseling to clients recovering from a catastrophic injury or illness.Serve as the primary treating therapist from evaluation to discharge to provide continuity of care as part of a collaborative rehab teamProvide therapeutic interventions to support social and emotional adjustment & community resources that address the patient’s goals Knowledge of neurorehabilitation techniques (TBI/CVA) is a valuable

What you will do: (responsibilities listed are included but not limited to)

Performs comprehensive evaluations, assessing the social, emotional and support needs of the patients and their familiesSets measurable objectives that are formulated in conjunction with the rehab teamAssists the physician and other health team members in understanding the significant social and emotional factors related to the patient's health problemsInstructs/counsels’ patients and families in treating and coping with social and emotional response connected with illnessesParticipates in care coordination activities and acts as a resource to other health team members in the identification and resolution of patient needsIdentifies and assists the patient and/or family to utilize appropriate community resources to achieve measurable objectives Qualifications

What you’ll need:

Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work (LCSW)Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker Licensure in the state of practiceMinimum of one year experience in a rehabilitation setting serving individuals who have experienced a traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury or acute diagnosisCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support) First Aid and CPR certification requiredAbility to lift 50 poundsMoving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety proceduresDuties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periodsAdditional physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times About our Line of Business Rehab Without Walls, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is a revolutionary neurorehabilitation program that moves individuals outside the walls of institutional settings and into their natural home and community environment through a continuum of care.
