Licensed Administrative Assistant
Step into an instrumental role. This position will complete the daily operations of new business set up, paperwork and applications, and trading for the practice. The licensed administrative assistant will be expected to protect the company through implementation of processes to create sound trading and auditing practices. The trader will be held accountable to minimizing trade errors, setting up new business according to team protocol, processing paperwork and applications accurately and promptly, as well as meeting and exceeding the set expectations of the trading department. The Trader will report directly to the Operations Director and work closely with the Service Team and advisors.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

Manage processes for proper trading execution, account set up, and paperwork creation and completion.

Assist in daily management of trading – execution, timing, expectations. Execute trades accurately and effectively.

Responsible for buying and selling securities as directed by advisors or internal departments.

Communicate trade error reports to the Operations Director.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.

Support future scalability.

Customer service - Communicate with clients as needed.

Monitor client activity.

Maintain and update databases.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher is required

2+ years of experience, preferably in the trading department.

Series 7 and 66

Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure

Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor, Ameriprise Financial

Ability to support and provide guidance for compliance within the advisor’s practice

Positive attitude and sincere willingness to constantly learn and grow

Attention to detail, industry knowledge, and quality of work.

Minimization of trading errors.

Ability to work and collaborate with both advisors and team members.

Coachable, trainable, and willing to grow in a career at Sylvan Capital Advisors

Shows initiative to proactively enhance existing trading and new business processes and systems.

Work hours: 8:30 AM – 5 PM
