An excellent opportunity exists within the Land & Air Defense Systems (L&ADS) Estimating organization. In this estimating organization, the employee will be responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development, production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing contracts. In addition, the estimating organization supports gate reviews, government audits and negotiations with the customer.

What You Will Do

Support the development and understanding of proposalsWork with functions from across the company to develop the labor, material and other direct costs associated with proposed contractsUtilize company estimating and pricing programs and toolsDevelop detailed bidding guidelines which are used to kick off proposalsProvide estimating support for the development of Basis of Estimates to include validating and analyzing actuals, ensuring consistency within task descriptions, and confirming estimating approach is soundPrepare and present limited complexity Gate 4 charts for program/company leadership review of proposal informationEnsure proposals comply with basic FAR and internal requirementsAssess and formulate potential solutions leading to a thorough proposal submittalAbility and willingness to gain special access clearance to work activities as appropriate.

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experienceExperience with Microsoft Office products

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
