We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic LEGO Robotics Instructor to lead engaging, hands-on robotics classes in an after-school setting. You will be responsible for guiding students through structured engineering challenges using LEGO® Education tools and our established curriculum. Note: Prior robotics experience is not required—we provide full training and ongoing support. Dr Owl Academy is a creative learning center in Los Gatos specializing in LEGO® robotics, coding, and hands-on STEM education for students ages 6–14. Our curriculum is 100% project-based learning (PBL) and rooted in design thinking, empowering students to explore real-world challenges through creativity, iteration, and teamwork. We run small-group after-school classes, summer camps, and competitive robotics teams (FLL & FTC), all designed to build confidence, collaboration, and curiosity. We're looking for passionate educators, coaches, and mentors who love working with kids and believe in learning by doing. If that sounds like you—come build with us! Key Responsibilities * Deliver structured, hands-on robotics instruction based on our project-based curriculum * Guide students through the design thinking process to solve engineering problems collaboratively * Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment * Track student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs * Communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members * Maintain classroom materials, robotics kits, and technology in working order
Requirements / Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree (required) * Classroom teaching experience in a school setting (required) * Teaching certification (preferred) * Strong group management and communication skills * Passion for education and working with children * Ability to commute reliably to Los Gatos, CA * Approved to work in the USA.
