Legislative Aide (District 61)
General Summary:
State Representative Linda Chaney is now accepting applications in her St. Petersburg, Florida office to assist with a variety of administrative and public relations matters requiring a thorough understanding of the policies, procedures, and operating practices of the Florida Legislature.
Salary: Annual $47,364
The Legislature offers a competitive benefits package. This position is eligible for virtual work. All virtual district employees must reside and work virtually in Florida.
FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE: Pursuant to sections 112.3144 and 112.3145, F.S., this position is required to electronically file aForm 1 – Statement of Financial Interestswith the Florida Commission on Ethics within 30 days of hire.

+ Knowledge and application of House Rules, Protocol, House-specific Applications, House Administrative Policies and the Legislature’s Joint Policies and Procedures.

+ Public Relations and Press Releases
+ Stakeholder Relations
+ Designated Tallahassee Staff during Committee Weeks and Session and Travel System
+ Mandatory Trainings as Assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of administrative experience.
Professional administrative experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.
