Legal Secretary
Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Legal Secretary in our legal industry team based in HONOLULU, Hawaii. The role involves a high level of organization, attention to detail, and interaction with clients and outside parties. As a Legal Secretary, you will handle a range of duties including proofreading and formatting legal documents, maintaining client files, coordinating meetings, and managing communication channels. Responsibilities: • Proofread, format, and process various legal documents, including court and government filings • Ensure effective correspondence with clients and outside parties • Manage and maintain computerized client files and calendars, including scheduling court and other deadlines, and organizing pleadings and other documents • Coordinate meetings both internally and with outside parties • Retrieve and post mail, as well as coordinate messenger and copying services • Assist timekeepers occasionally in booking travel arrangements • Receive and direct general telephone calls and emails • Utilize various software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom for teleconference and videoconference setup • Manage documents and cases using legal computer systems • Develop new skills, especially computer-based skills, and maintain a detail-oriented communication level. Requirements • Proficiency in Aderant and CompuLaw software • Ability to use Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Creative Cloud • Experience with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) • Familiarity with case management software for efficient case handling • Knowledge of billing functions in a legal setting • Skills in briefing and document formatting • Proficiency in calendar management and scheduling tasks • Strong client relations skills for maintaining a positive company image • Knowledge of consumer electronics for efficient office operations • Proofreading skills for error-free legal documents • Ability to maintain a calendar for effective time management • Experience in arranging travel for legal personnel • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel • Experience with Microsoft Teams and Zoom for effective remote communication • Strong document management skills for organized record keeping • Proficiency in case management for efficient handling of legal cases • Ability to draft legal documents with high accuracy • Experience as a legal assistant • Excellent proofing skills to ensure error-free documents TalentMatch® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
