**What's the role**
As a Legal & Regulatory Advisor at Liberty Caribbean, you will have a key role in offering outstanding legal and regulatory assistance in our diverse Dutch Caribbean markets. This career opportunity contributes to the seamless alignment with local laws.
**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
+ Advise the business on general and contractual issues, negotiate and finalise contracts within the group’s governance processes
+ Support and advice on regulatory compliance across the Dutch Caribbean markets
**Role may also include the following:**
+ Collaborating closely with external counsel on litigation and other matters
+ Corporate advice and support
+ Legislative and regulatory interpretation
**Significant demands:**
+ Travel to the operating units may be required
+ Must be able to put extra effort and time in when the commercial needs of the business (e.g. to meet a project/customer deadline)
**Working Practices & Relationships:**
+ Will work closely with Senior Manager Legal & Regulatory, Dutch Caribbean and other members of the Liberty Caribbean Legal and Regulatoryteams, as well as cross-functionally with commercial and functional colleagues in planning and delivering assigned tasks
**Technical Skills:**
+ Will need strong technical legal skills (incl. drafting) and demonstrated commercial savvy
+ Ability to secure favourable commercial outcomes for the Group
+ Understanding of the Dutch Caribbean regulatory frameworks
**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**
+ University Law Degree
+ Certificate of Legal Education or equivalent practicing certification
+ 5 years proven experience (pre & OR post certification)
+ International experience in a large company would be an asset
+ Minimum 2 years' experience as in-house counsel preferred
