We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Mumbai, India.
Job Purpose:
Support to develop and administer legal processes and procedures to identify and mitigate legal risks and protect DPDHL's legal and business interests in line with business needs, established legal framework, standards, applicable laws and regulations
Your tasks:
Assist in preparing/printing/execution/filing of legal documentation like letters, contracts and other legal deeds and documents. Assist in the closing of contract formalities by closely coordinating with senior management team of Company and coordinators and stakeholders of various departments within the Company. Preparing Contract Sheet Approval Form and maintaining proper liaison with various departments for timely approval and signing of contracts. Assist in preparing monthly litigation reports, contingent liability report, lease reports and regularly updating & reporting of claims and legal notices filed against the company. Keeping up to date records of all litigiation pending before various courts and forums across India and in the process closely monitoring and keeping track of upcoming dates of legal cases filed by or against the company, interacting with external lawyers for obtaining status of legal cases and accordingly updating litigation reports. Coordinating with Customer Service for obtaining feedback on customer claims and assisting for issuance of proper response. Keeping upto date records of claims with DHL’s Insurers. Maintaining co-ordination with external counsels and consultants and monitoring and seeking regular update of jobs assigned to them. Maintaining all records of Invoices of external counsels & consultants and processing for payment by seeking necessary internal approvals, preparing payment vouchers, submitting vouchers to Finance Departments and regular follow up. Providing monthly reports of Invoices received and payments made to advocates. Record Management (of hard/digital copies). Assisting in day to day legal work and if required, traveling within city limits for submission of case papers / documents, assisting company representative in filing of legal cases in courts, notary and attestation work in courts, and all ancillary work related to day to day working of the legal department. Maintaining statutory books and documents related to Secretarial work. Maintaining safe custody of all legal and secretarial documents. Preparing resolutions and minutes on periodic basis as advised. Provide general administrative and paralegal support as and when required.Your profile:
