Are you a New York City Metro Area based "Big Law" Associate whose practice focuses on corporate transactional deals and you are looking for a "non-traditional" role to put your skills and experience to work?

Who we are looking for?

We are working with a start up - a deal intelligence platform for law and finance - who is looking to hire an experienced transactional attorney to serve as a Legal Engagement Manager on their Applied Legal Research team. In this high-impact role, you will be the bridge between the company's cutting-edge AI technology and tehir AmLaw 100 client base, working directly with senior legal executives to drive adoption and demonstrate value.

You will lead client-facing engagements, translate complex client needs into technical requirements, and help shape our product roadmap based on your deep understanding of how leading law firms operate. This role demands exceptional client management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to build trusted advisor relationships with partners at the world's most prestigious firms.

While you'll collaborate closely with our technical teams to deliver solutions, your primary focus will be as the face of the comoany's Legal Research Team to their enterprise clients, driving successful implementations and building long-term partnerships.

Core Responsibilities:

Lead high-impact meetings with C-suite, partners, and senior attorneys at AmLaw 100 firmsBuild and maintain executive-level relationships with decision-makers at top law firmsTake a consultative approach to understanding clients' unique workflows and needsPrioritize competing client requests based on business impact and strategic alignmentTranslate complex legal requirements into actionable product specificationsDeliver business reviews demonstrating ROI and identifying expansion opportunitiesStay current on legal tech trends to position company as an innovative partner

What you will need:

J.D. (or J.D. equivalent)Based in NYC3+ years experience as a transactional attorney at a top law firmStrong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teamsExceptional communication skills, with ability to translate between legal and technical domainsDemonstrated interest in legaltech and innovationWillingness to travel up to 25% for onsite client meetings
