The Legal Department Operations Manager will support Lenovo’s Chief Legal & Corporate Responsibility Officer. The candidate will be responsible for keeping the organization running smoothly and effectively in a complex global environment.
The successful candidate for this role will be able to manage executive-level administrative responsibilities as well as department operations. To excel in this role, the candidate will need to be able to manage confidential information, have excellent attention to detail, act independently and proactively and work with a sense of urgency. They will need to have an understanding (or be willing to learn) budget management, organizational planning, project management, and process improvement, with an eye toward optimizing scare resources.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrative:Drive executive staff and department meetingsDeck consolidation, agenda, actions, follow upExecute and drive org specific projects with high attention to detail on event planningLenovo Executive Committee meetings, Sr. Leadership meetings, All Hands, Town Halls, Board of DirectorResponsible for complex calendar management / gatekeeper, coordinating senior level internal/external customer meetingsArrange complex, multi-leg international and domestic travelPro-active tracking of all flight and ground transportation Review/approve expense reports on behalf of executiveExecutive e-mail management – flag, action, follow-up, respondBudget Management:Assist Chief Legal Officer in overseeing departmental budgets, tracking legal expenses, and ensuring financial performance. Strategic Planning:Contribute to the development of departmental and organizational goals and implementing strategies to achieve them. Monitor performance to ensure the department is on track to meet commitments.Process Optimization:Identify areas for improvement, streamlining workflows, and implementing new processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. Problem Solving:Identify and address operational issues, develop solutions, and implement changes to improve performance. Communication:Facilitate communication between Lenovo and external senior offices. Communicate effectively with team members, and stakeholders, ensuring clear information flow and collaboration. Department Leadership:Fostering a positive and productive work environment. Resource Management:Assisting Chief Legal Officer with allocating resources (personnel, equipment, materials), and ensuring efficient utilization.
