Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Data Entry Specialist to support a high-priority project focused on cleaning, organizing, and standardizing metadata within our contract repository. This short-term role is critical to ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity across our legal documentation systems. The ideal candidate will excel at precise data entry, system navigation, communication, and confidentiality. This person must quickly learn workflows, follow structured processes, and communicate proactively if questions or issues arise.
Project Goal:
To fully clean, organize, and standardize the company’s contract repository by:
• Updating naming conventions
• Completing metadata fields
• Uploading/re-tagging documents
• Ensuring all information flows correctly between SharePoint → Ironclad → Salesforce

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR (Essential Functions):

• Update contract naming conventions to align with new standards.
• Add and update metadata fields across contracts and related documents.
• Upload documents into the contract repository and ensure proper tagging.
• Review existing contract data for accuracy and completeness.
• Enter and validate contract metadata within Ironclad, ensuring the data syncs correctly into Salesforce.
• Upload or adjust information in SharePoint, Ironclad, and Salesforce as needed.
• Match updated data from spreadsheets to the correct contract records across systems.
• Review metadata provided by internal teams and identify missing or incorrect fields.
• Compare spreadsheet data to contracts stored in Ironclad and SharePoint to ensure alignment.
• Work from trackers and workflows to ensure every contract is updated, renamed, and validated correctly.
• Communicate clearly and proactively if something is unclear, incorrect, or missing.
• Work closely with Legal, Salesforce, and Operations team members throughout the project.
• Maintain progress tracking with the manager to ensure deadlines are met.

Skills and Requirements
• 2+ years Data Entry (accuracy and speed are crucial)
• SharePoint
• Understanding of Salesforce, edit a field
• Excel (solid ability to work with spreadsheets, metadata fields, trackers)
• Ability to follow structured processes and written instructions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and workflows
• Must handle sensitive contract information responsibly.
• Must not have conflicts of interest or work for competitors
• Must adhere to all internal data security and confidentiality policies
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with agreements (combing through agreements daily) agreement date vs effective date
