Legal Customer Service Assistant

Specific job duties include but are not limited to:

Process daily mail. Telephone communication with client. Manage a client caseload under the direct supervision of an attorney. Prepare correspondence with clients, government and administrative agencies. Prepare and review appeals and evidentiary documents for submission to the Department of Veterans Affairs. Legal, medical, government, and administrative research. Assist in retention and management of expert witnesses. Maintain and manage documentation in the firm’s case management software. Other duties and administrative tasks as requested/assigned from attorneys and partnersSkills and Qualifications: Highly organized and attentive to detail. Outstanding customer service skills. Ability to problem solve and make practical decisions. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines. Solid spelling, grammatical, and proofreading skills. Ability to maintain professionalism, client confidentiality, and a positive attitude. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Well versed with computers and Microsoft Office software. Adaptability. Efficiency, flexibility, independence, and patience. Excellent organization and time management skills.Important: This position operates within a fast-paced, high-volume environment and employees are expected to maintain a steady cadence throughout each workday.
Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience in working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal government agencies is a plus. We will provide training on our case management software, but proficiency with computers is required.
This is a full-time position working approximately 40 hours per week

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
