Legal Counsel & Contract Specialist - Full Time - Madrid, Spain

We are looking for a/an Legal Counsel & Contract Specialist to join our team in Spain to safeguard Sulzer’s legal and commercial interests, mitigate risks, defend against claims, and enforce rights across assigned legal entities.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Ensure legal risk mitigation and compliance with Sulzer’s policies across all business activities. Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, landlords, and other partners. Provide legal advice and support to Group Functions on contractual and regulatory matters. Manage claims and disputes, including coordination with insurers and external legal counsel. Monitor legal developments and ensure company law compliance within assigned jurisdictions. Develop and deliver legal and compliance training, and maintain standard legal documentation.To succeed in this role, you will need:
Strong business acumen with a proactive, service-oriented mindset and ability to adapt to changing priorities. Skilled communicator and negotiator in multicultural, cross-functional environments. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a matrix organization. Legal qualification or equivalent experience, with at least 3 years in oil & gas, power generation, or manufacturing. Fluent in Spanish and English, with solid knowledge of Spanish Contract and Company Law. Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in managing legal and compliance matters.
