Job Purpose:The Legal & Commercial Contract Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the legal aspects of contracts within the logistics sector. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial law, contract negotiation, and compliance, as well as expertise in employment litigation and employment relations. The ideal candidate will ensure that all contracts are legally sound, protect the company’s interests, and comply with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:\n\nContract Management:
\n\nDraft, review, and negotiate contracts related to logistics services, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.\nManage the contract lifecycle, from inception to execution, and monitor compliance with contractual obligations, including tracking expiration dates and providing timely alerts to operations.\n\n\n\nLegal Compliance:
\n\nLegal support for business units.\nHandling claims and legal inquiries related to assigned sectors.\nEnsure legal compliance and risk management aligned with internal policies and applicable laws.\nStay updated on changes in legislation related to logistics and employment law, advising management on necessary adjustments.\nSupport in corporate, governance, and real estate matters.\n\n\n\nEmployment Litigation:
\n\nProvide legal support in employment litigation matters, including but not limited to disputes related to contracts, terminations, and workplace policies.\nCollaborate with external legal counsel as needed to manage litigation cases effectively.\n\n\n\nEmployment Relations:
\n\nDevelop and implement strategies to maintain positive employment relations within the organization.\nAdvise management on employee rights, workplace policies, and best practices to mitigate legal risks.\n\n\n\nStakeholder Communication:
\n\nServe as a point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding contract-related inquiries and legal matters.\nFacilitate communication between legal, commercial, and operational teams to ensure alignment on contract terms and conditions.\n\n\nWho we are looking for:\n\nMinimum of 8 years of experience in contract management, preferably within the logistics or transportation sector.\nProven experience in employment litigation and a strong understanding of employment relations.\n\n
Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
