Summary

The Business Development Coordinator is a nonexempt administrative position reporting to the Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer. The Coordinator will support the and business development department's management team, the business development activities of assigned practice groups and industry teams, and the marketing efforts for the firm.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Assist business development communications team to cultivate business with current and prospect clients and promote the law firm and its people.Preparation and production of proposals, pitch materials, RFPs, and client presentations under the direction of the business development management team.Collaborate with business development team and Client Event planner, execute special events including social/networking events, webinars, receptions and group sporting events.Coordinate and develop submissions for key directoriesCoordinate process for collecting matter data for inclusion in Experience Database.Coordinate creation of internal business development newsletter.Assist with distribution of client alerts and thought leadership pieces.Tracks and reports outcomes of business development activities (RFPs, pitches, etc.).Drafts, edits and proofreads content and coordinates the production of final materials.Create and submit BD check requests and process expense reimbursements for department.Maintain business development team calendar.Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

3+ years of experience, preferably in Business Development/Marketing, professional services, and/or law firm environment.Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and comply with deadlines with minimum supervision; flexibility to work extended hours to meet deadlines is required.Ability to work both independently and in a team dynamic.Demonstrate positive and can-do attitude.Must be a team player, willing to help other team members during peak times.Strong communication skills including: interpersonal skills, articulate communication and effective use of written and spoken grammar.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work directly with attorneys and staff as required.Possess basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; ability to operate and navigate various systems utilized by the Firm.
