Legal Business Analyst – Driving Compliance & Government Relations at Caterpillar Batam

This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

What You Will Do:
Government Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national government bodies.
Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on operations.
Represent Caterpillar in discussions with government officials.
Manage permits, licenses, and certifications to ensure legal compliance.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to government agencies.
Legal Affairs
Ensure compliance with national and local laws (labor, tax, environmental, etc.).
Manage and archive legal documents and contracts.
Conduct legal research to support business decisions.
Educate internal teams on regulatory changes and compliance requirements.
Communication and Coordination
Act as a liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders.
Provide regular updates to leadership on legal and regulatory matters.

What Will Set You Apart:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in legal affairs, government relations, or regulatory compliance—preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English. Able to represent the company professionally in external engagements.
Skilled in building and maintaining productive relationships with government agencies, legal bodies, and internal stakeholders.
High ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements (With or Without Reasonable Accommodation):
This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment.
