Responsibilities: ... - Answer and/or respond to a variety of callers to determine the purpose of their contact.
- Refer the caller to the proper department or the appropriate attorney.
- Advocate building organizational culture through aligning decisions with core values including: integrity, honesty, respect, diversity, innovation, accountability and communication.
- Maintain calendars of appointments and meetings.
- Prepare, type, edit and proofread correspondence, reports, resolutions, ordinances, agreements, contracts, deeds, leases, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Communicate with office attorneys, other County employees, outside agencies, and the public in general through electronic, in person and telephonic means.
- File office correspondence and records, utilizing established filing systems.
- Coordinate the proper distribution and disposition of notices, memoranda, directives and related material.
- Collect and compile information on miscellaneous projects.
- Coordinate with other County departments when appropriate to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Perform the duties listed, as well as those assigned, with professionalism and a sense of urgency.
Working hours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate well, provide excellent customer service and positive interaction with staff/employees.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent, and two years of general office/clerical and/or customer service experience, or any equivalent combination of related training and experience.
- College coursework will substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Knowledge of general office procedures, such as filing and follow-up procedures.
- Considerable knowledge of vocabulary, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
- Knowledge of business terminology.
- Knowledge of microcomputers, word processing and database programs ??? and other software applications.
- Ability to learn, understand, and follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitive information.
- Ability to understand and carry out moderately complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to make routine decisions in accordance with procedures, laws and regulations and to apply these to work situations.
