Job Description
As a Legal Administrative Assistant, you will provide essential support in administrative and project management tasks for the legal team. This role involves performing general administrative duties, managing legal matters in databases, coordinating meetings, preparing documents, and supporting document retention efforts.
ResponsibilitiesPerform general administrative tasks including typing, data entry, and proofreading.Enter and track legal matters in internal databases.Assist with meeting scheduling and coordination.Prepare template letters and forms, ensuring completeness and accuracy.Conduct initial reviews of documents for grammar, spelling, and formatting.Run reports and track project progress for the legal team.Support document retention efforts and litigation hold communications.Transfer data across multiple systems such as Salesforce, Legal Files, and legacy insurance systems.Maintain and audit database entries for accuracy and completeness.Assist with claims tracking and reporting, including open claims and law firm usage.Use tools like Excel and Power BI to compile and analyze data. QualificationsExperience with Salesforce, Power BI, or other tracking/reporting software is a plus.Familiarity with legal terminology or litigation processes (not required).Prior experience in administrative roles in legal or insurance environments is advantageous.Candidates with 2-5 years of experience with strong admin skills or experienced professionals seeking a steady, detail-oriented role.Enthusiastic about administrative work and eager to learn.Local to the Stillwater or St. Louis Park area and able to be onsite as needed.Work Environment
This position offers a 40-hour workweek with a flexible schedule, core availability preferred between 9 AM and 2 PM. The role is primarily remote, requiring occasional onsite presence for lunches or meetings. This is an ongoing contract opportunity, replacing a retiring long-term contractor.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
