The University of Virginia Department of Drama seeks creative and committed instructors to join our teaching team for the 2025–2026 academic year. We are hiring part-time, non-tenure track Lecturers to teach courses in Acting I and Speaking in Public. Anticipated teaching load is 1 to 4 courses across the academic year.
This wage-based position pays $8,000 per course. We’re looking for instructors who bring strong teaching experience, clear communication skills, and a commitment to creating inclusive, engaging learning environments. A terminal degree is preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
